Baguio Adventure - Day 2!

Today is Papy & Mim's 35th Wedding Anniversary! We started the day by hearing mass at the Baguio Cathedral.

And then a nice breakfast at Choco-Late de Batirol, Camp John Hay
Its a quaint little place, and its main attraction is their thick, dark chocolate drinks made the traditional way(using a batirol stick) to melt the chocolate.
They also offer various flavoured chocolate drinks - I'm trying the strawberry chocolate! Sarap!
We had a yummo brekkie of sinangag (garlic rice), egg, tomatoes & longanisang hubad - and the thick, dark sweet chocolate.
The morning was filled with laughs and giggles...

and hugs too.

The Lovebirds with their much loved apos!

FILIPINO LUNCH!
For lunch, we decided to eat at an old fave - Barrio Fiesta. We were looking forward to their Kare-Kare & Crispy Pata (unfortunately, super daming tao, na ubos! so we opted for their equally yum Lechon Kawali.
B had the refreshing sago & gulaman.
"Pa kiss naman!"
After our lunch, it was time for funny photos!
We super, super, super missed You FrankieLuv! Ang daming mga pang funny photo possibilities!
Migs, showing that he is Frankie & Laina's boy!
"Excuse me, Ninoy...What cha thinkin?"
Mafin, doing a funny pose! (surprise, surpise! unlike moi, Mafin's not always a willing participant in funny photos)
"Eh Manong Guard, anong sabi sa horoscope ko today?"
"Sabi sa horoscope, baka ma meet daw ni Migs yung future GF nya, eto na kaya sya?!"

STRAWBERRY PICKING TIME!
Looking for more places to see , we headed off to Trinidad Valley to see their strawberry farms. It was pretty foggy, but it didn't stop us from posing.

Trendy naman Midge-Mudge!
Phew! Ang hirap mag-pose, pa karga nalang ki Papay.

We decided to try some strawberry sorbetes...

There was a mini-market across the farms so we checked it out...
"Mama, gusto ko po nun..."
Migs, seemed to be pre-occupied with something... "Mama help ko na kayo mag clean, Sweep na ako"
Check out Migs expression.

FONDUE MERIENDA!
For our merienda - we went to Little John's at Camp John Hay for their chocolate fondue. Migs waiting....
Smile muna...
Drawing muna with Nonong B & Papay.
Nes & bubbybabe -Dandan!
More posing posing muna.

At last ! the fondue - with yummo strawberries, marshmallows and bananas. Can you say Yummo?!
Mmmm!Yummy!

We then headed back to our hotel, but we had a lovely surprise! - the sun was just setting and the view was really quite beautiful.
After a tiring day, sometimes its just better to just eat in - so we did. Nag pa-deliver na lang ng Pizza Hut (Hawaiian & Super Supreme. Yummo! ) and may dessert pa ng pinipig kakanin!
"Hmmm! Bango!

Baguio Adventure! - Day 1

On the 25th of January, we headed off to Baguio to celebrate Papy & Mim's Wedding Anniversary. Miggy had his "are we there yet?" bib.
Migs talaga, hindi pa nga nakakasakay e.
"What?!! Ako lang ang gising?!"
"Sama na lang nga ako ki Nanang Lel! Smile!"
After a LOOONG drive, and a lot of confusing shortcuts, we finally arrived!

Pose muna before the iconic Baguio Lion.

We stayed at the Summer Place Hotel (thanks to T for researching this). It was pretty good rin, since we were billeted at the Executive Suite - it had two big room, one living room and a large bathroom plus a view of the mountains.

The foggy view from our room.

Light merienda first at the hotel's resto before pasyal - and we were pleasantly surprised na ang sarap ng food.

After our merienda, we headed to the Baguio Cathedral to offer mass for Papy & Mim's 35th Wedding Anniversary the next day.

After our pasyal, we had dinner at the hotel's resto - and surprise! Surprise! Lahat ng order namin, masarap ulit! Laro muna mga kiddies.
"Can I have a hug?"
After a super exhausting day, we were all ready for dreamland.

We missed you terribly Frankie! Dibale, next time punta rin tayo!
